
Houston Dash Announce End of Season Roster Decisions

HOUSTON - The Houston Dash have announced their initial roster decisions following the conclusion of the 2023 NWSL regular season.
Houston exercised contract options for Emily Alvarado, Madelyn Desiano, Jyllissa Harris, Sophie Hirst, Savannah Madden, Barbara Olivieri, Sarah Puntigam and Cameron Tucker.
The contract option was also exercised for Paulina Gramaglia, who is on loan with Red Bull Bragantino, and will remain on loan into the 2024 season.
The club intends to mutually exercise the option for Allysha Chapman, who is currently on maternity leave.
The contract option for Lindsi Jennings was not picked up. Other departing players who were part of the 2023 roster include Ella Dederick, Makamae Gomera-Stevens, Devon Kerr and were not offered new contracts and are restricted free agents. The club would like to extend gratitude for their commitment to the Dash and wishes them the best in future endeavors.
Caprice Dydasco, Shea Groom, Emily Curran, Maria Sanchez (restricted) and Marisa Viggiano also enter the offseason as free agents. Joelle Anderson is out of contract.
The team is currently negotiating with several players to return for the 2024 season. The Dash will continue to evaluate roster decisions leading up to the Expansion Draft, which will take place on December 15.
Houston enters the offseason with the following players under contract: Michelle Alozie, Andressa Alves, Jane Campbell, Ryan Gareis, Natalie Jacobs, Katie Lind, Diana Ordóñez, Courtney Petersen, Nichelle Prince, Ally Prisock, Sophie Schmidt and Havana Solaun.

Defenders (6): Alysha Chapman (maternity leave), Madelyn Desiano, Jyllissa Harris, Natalie Jacobs, Katie Lind, Courtney Petersen, Ally Prisock
