
House Finds a Home in Rochester

(Rochester, MN)-- The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today the signing of right-handed pitcher Austin House from the University of New Mexico.
The 6'4" 185-pound sophomore is a late inning reliever. House has appeared in team high 14 games, pitching 21.1 innings and striking out 15.
A 2009 graduate of La Cueva High School in Albuquerque, NM, House helped his team to a state championship in 2008 and was named first team all-state, first team all-district and first team all-metro as a senior. House was then drafted in the 25th round by the Boston Red Sox in the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft, but chose to attend New Mexico.
The Rochester Honkers 18th season begins on June 1st when they travel to Mankato, MN for a 7:05pm start. Their home opener is Thursday, June 2nd against Mankato at Mayo Field starting at 7:05pm.
