Hounds Hope "Ladies Night" Can Get Team On Right Track At Home

March 22, 2006 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Youngstown SteelHounds News Release

The SteelHounds (21-35-5) begin the final series of the season tonight at the Chevrolet Centre when they host the Fort Worth Brahmas (17-36-8). Youngstown is currently tied with Memphis for second place in the Northeast Division sitting with 47 points, five better than Fort Worth. Tonight marks the Brahmas first visit to the Chevy Centre and marks an important opener in the series for the Hounds who are trying to finish in the number two spot in the division in their inaugural season.

Tonight is also the first ever "Ladies Night" at the Chevrolet Centre with all ladies receiving $2.00 off any ticket valued $10.00 or higher. Immediately following the game there will be a Bachelor's Auction hosted by WKBN's Niki Weirich. Six SteelHounds players, including Darryl Lloyd, J.R. Holmes, Kelly Sickavish, Sam Miller, Chris Shaffer and Ben Manny, will be auctioned off with the highest bidder receiving a limo ride (courtesy of FAB Limousines) from the Chevy Centre to Oscar's for dinner on Monday, March 27th. A portion of the proceeds form the auction will go towards Breast Cancer Awareness.

The Hounds have dropped 10 straight decisions at home (0-9-1) marking the longest home winless streak in team history and in the CHL this season. Fort Worth could be the right medicine for Youngstown who has gone 5-0 versus the Brahmas this season.

Jeff Christian continues to lead the CHL with 52 goal sand seems set to win the league's goal scoring crown.

Next Game:

The SteelHounds and Brahmas meet again on Friday night with face-off scheduled for 7:05 PM at the Chevrolet Centre.
