YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO - The Youngstown SteelHounds have now lost six straight games as they fell to the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs by a score of 5-3 on Saturday night. The Mudbugs have tied the Central Hockey League record set by last year's President's Cup Champion Colorado Eagles for most consecutive victories at 15.

Bossier-Shreveport jumped out to a 5-0 lead as Joe Ori scored two goals, one on the power play as the Mudbugs were 3-8 with the man advantage. Kevin Cooper and Tyrel Lucas also scored on the power play. Mike Falk recorded an even strength goal at 17:12 of the first period for his first tally of the season.

Youngstown tried to come back as Eric Przepiorka and Chris Richards each scored power play goals. It was Przepiorka's 18th and Richards's 14th goals of the season. The Hounds were 2-8 on the power play. Joel Irving added an even strength goal for his 14th of the year but the damage was too great as the Hounds fell 5-3 on Saturday night.

The Hounds have now lost six straight games (0-5-1) and are 20-13-2 (42 points) and remain in third place in the Northeast Division. First place Bossier-Shreveport has won five straight against the SteelHounds and a record tying 15 in a row overall to improve to 25-7-3 (53 points).

The Hounds and Mudbugs will meet for the final time this season on Sunday afternoon at 4:05. All SteelHounds games are available on ESPN Radio 1240 and SteelHounds.com.
