
Hoppers Snag Win from Braves

Rome, GA - The Rome Braves were defeated by the Greensboro Grasshoppers 4-3 Wednesday afternoon at State Mutual Stadium in front of 3,265 fans.
Rome's Cody Johnson hit a solo home run in the second inning to give the Braves the 1-0 advantage.
Greensboro took the lead 2-1 in the fourth on a two RBI home run by Matt Dominguez.
A solo home run by Rome's Freddie Freeman in the sixth inning tied the game 2-2. The Braves were back on top 3-2 in the eighth on a RBI single by Cody Johnson.
The Hoppers snatched the lead in the ninth inning on a two run RBI double by Torre Langley. Greensboro's bullpen held the Braves to the 4-3 final.
Corey Madden (5-0) gets the win for Greensboro with one strikeout two walks and two hits in one inning. The loss goes to Benino Pruneda (2-4).
