Brampton Honey Badgers News Release
The Brampton Honey Badgers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced Tuesday that they have signed former BioSteel All-Canadian forward Jahbril Price-Noel. A product of Wagner College, Price-Noel will make his professional debut this summer in the Brampton pinstripes.
Price-Noel is coming off a productive graduate season with Wagner College. He averaged 5.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 28 games for the Seahawks, including seven games with double figures in scoring. Price-Noel arrived in Staten Island ahead of his senior season following three years at the University of Pacific where he appeared in 71 games.
"Jahbril brings a well-rounded skill set to our lineup, and will be in a position to take his game to the next level as he begins his professional journey in Brampton," said Jermaine Anderson, general manager and vice-president of basketball operations. "We're looking forward to welcoming Jahbril to our family."
The Scarborough native was a highly-recruited prospect out of the 2018 Canadian high school class and participated in the 2018 BioSteel All-Canadian Game at the University of Toronto. Price-Noel scored 17 points paired with five assists in the event that featured Oklahoma City Thunder guard Luguentz Dort and Canadian Men's National Team member A.J Lawson.
This announcement comes days before the Brampton Honey Badgers begin training camp at Humber College on May 15.
Coming off a historic championship in 2022, the Honey Badgers start the 2023 campaign May 24 at TD Place Arena in Ottawa, in what will tip off the CEBL's fifth season live on national television, as part of a multi-year deal with TSN. The Honey Badgers play their first home game at the CAA Centre in Brampton two days later, May 26, against rival Scarborough. The CEBL announced the permanent relocation of the Honey Badgers from Hamilton to Brampton on November 28, 2022.
