The Hamilton Honey Badgers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) will begin their fourth season Tuesday morning when the team's training camp opens at the training centre for the Canadian National team at Humber College's North Campus in Mississauga. Sixteen players will take the court at 10 a.m. to begin the eight-day training camp, bringing NBA, NBA G League, top international professional league, NCAA and U SPORTS experience. Nigerian national team player and Burlington native Caleb Agada is expected to join the team in June.

General Manager Jermaine Anderson has re-signed former Honey Badgers and CEBL veterans Duane Notice, MiKyle McIntosh, Kyle Johnson, Keevan Veinot and Jamal Reynolds. Joining these five players are fellow Canadians Aaron Best, Nikola Djogo, Koby McEwen and Michael Okafor. The team also welcomes three Americans to the roster, including 2022 NBA G League champion Christian Vital, Jeremiah Tilmon Jr. and Zane Waterman. Hamilton has signed its first non-American import, Slovenian Martin Krampelj, from the Miami Heat's G League affiliate. Rounding out the training camp roster are forwards Osa Wilson and Prince Oduro and guard Jordan Henry.

The Honey Badgers are coming off a 9-5 season in which they finished third in the CEBL standings. They will host the expansion Montreal Alliance in their season opener May 25 at FirstOntario Centre. It will be the first of 100 regular season CEBL games played in 69 days for Canada's official national professional basketball league. Tickets are on sale now at ticketmaster.ca or 905-522-BALL.
