New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release

MANCHESTER, N.H. - The following is a look at what's coming to Northeast Delta Dental Stadium during the next homestand from April 25-May 1. The stand splits into a three-game series with the Reading Fightin' Phils (Philadelphia Phillies) beginning Friday, and then a four-game series with the Trenton Thunder (New York Yankees) starting Monday.

READING FIGHTIN' PHILS

TOP PROSPECTS

LHP Jesse Biddle - Biddle was the Phillies' first-round draft pick in 2010 and was ranked No.1 among Phillies prospects by MLB.com entering the 2013 season. Ranked the No. 2 prospect in the organization this year, Biddle is back with the Fightin' Phils and has posted 28 strikeouts in just 21 innings of work. Last year he ended the season with a 3.64 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and 10 strikeouts per nine innings. RHP Severino Gonzalez - Gonzalez is enjoying a nice start to his first full season in Double-A. He won his only outing with Reading at the end of 2013, and he's won two of his first four starts this season. He's scheduled to face the Fisher Cats in the opener of the upcoming series on Friday night. He beat the Fisher Cats by allowing one run over a season-long seven innings on April 9 in Reading. In 2013, he pitched 103.2 innings for Clearwater, posting a 2.00 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 10.3 K/9.

TRENTON THUNDER

TOP PROSPECTS

C Gary Sanchez - Entering 2014, Sanchez was the brightest star in a fairly barren Yankees' farm system. Signed out of the Dominican Republic in 2009, he spent 2013 between High-A and Double-A, appearing in a combined 117 games. Between the two levels he hit .253 with 15 home runs and threw out 44-perence of attempted base-stealers. This year, he is out to a .286 start with 13 RBI. OF Mason Williams - Selected by the New York Yankees in the 4th round of the 2010 draft and ranked No. 2 among Yankee prospects going into this season by MLB.com. He is hitting .230 through the first 18 games. Williams spent most of the 2013 season (.245, 63 Runs,4 HR, and 28 RBI) in High-A Tampa but finished the year at AA Trenton. RHP Bryan Mitchell - Mitchell is off to a solid start in 2014, and was recently promoted to the Yankees for the first time this week. While he didn't pitch in the majors, he has done a nice job with Trenton this year, striking out 26 in 19 total innings. He spent last season with High-A Tampa before pitching three games with the Thunder. His fastball consistently hits the mid-90s on the gun and his curve ball was once labeled the best in the Yankees' minor league system by Baseball America. The Fisher Cats tagged him for four runs to give him an opening day defeat on April 3. 2B Rob Refsnyder - Making his Double-A debut this season after spending 2013 with Class A Charleston and High-A Tampa (.293, 74 R, 6 HR, 57 RBI). Selected by the New York Yankees in the fifth round of the 2012 draft out of the University of Arizona. He was named Most Outstanding Player at the 2012 College World Series, helping Arizona win the title. He also won a gold medal with the USA Youth National Team in 2007
