
Home Runs and Rain Halt 'Sharks

Camden Riversharks News Release
Mother Nature was not on Camden's side as the Riversharks lost a rain-shortened game to the Lancaster Barnstormers 3-2. This was the first Riversharks game of the season to be ended early due to inclement weather.
Jeff Bennett (4-0) earned the victory pitching all five innings allowing two runs on seven hits and four walks.
Despite allowing only three hits, Carlos Vasquez (10-6) suffered the loss giving up three runs in his five innings of work.
Jonel Pacheco put the 'Sharks on top in the 2nd inning with an RBI double that scored Brian Burgamy.
Yaibel Tamayo gave the Barnstormers their first lead in the 3rd inning with his first home run of the season, a two-run shot, to make it 2-1 Lancaster.
Jake Eigsti tied the game at 2-2 in the 4th inning when he scored on Toby Hall's 6-4-3 double play.
The lead didn't last long however as Terry Tiffee hit was proved to be the game-winning home run in the bottom of the 4th that put the Barnstormers on top for good at 3-2.
The home run for Tiffee was his second in his last three games against Camden.
