Playoffs Start: The Macon Trax will square off with the Orlando Seals in the best of five President Cup semi-final series. Game one of the series is Thursday in Orlando at 7 p.m. The Trax will host game two of the series on Friday March 21st at 7:30 p.m. at the Centreplex. Game three of the series is Saturday in Orlando at 7:30 p.m. Games four and five if necessary will be in Orlando on Tuesday March 25th and in Orlando Wednesday March 26th. All Trax road games are broadcast via the internet and can be accessed through www.IRN.FM or the Trax website at www.macontrax.com.
Regular Season The Trax completed the regular season winning three of the four games they Wrap: played last week. They won on the road at Jacksonville, 6-4; beat Cape Fear at home, 6-1; edged Orlando 4-3 in a shootout on Saturday night; then lost 4-3 at Orlando in regulation time.
Winning Streak: The victory over Orlando stretched the Trax winning streak to five games, a season high. It was also the Trax fifth shootout win of the season. Macon had more shootout victories than any other team in the ACHL.
Century Plus One: Right winger Tommy Stewart finished the season continuing his torrid scoring pace. Stewart finished the season with points in 24 of the final 25 games. He won the league scoring title with 44 goals and 57 assists for 101 points. Stewart led the ACHL in goals as well as points. Last week Stewart had six goals and three assists for nine points the Trax four games. For his efforts, Stewart was again named the ACHL Player of the Week.
Cool Hand Luke: Luke Murphy finished as runner up in the ACHL scoring race to Tom Stewart. Murphy finished the campaign with 28 goals and 53 assists for 81 points.
