Holman and Temple Set to Return to Extreme for 2011

BLOOMINGTON (Ill.) - The Bloomington Extreme Indoor Football Team is pleased to announce the signings of Defensive Back, James Temple and Defensive Lineman, Quince Holman for the 2011 season.

James Temple, 6'0" 205 lbs., Defensive Back from Illinois State University will re-join the Extreme for a fifth season. During the 2010 season with the Extreme, Temple played in 14 games, recording 40 ½ tackles and recorded 6 interceptions to go along with 8 passes broken up. In 2009, Temple was second in the IFL with 10 interceptions, 2 returned for touchdowns, to go along with his 57.5 tackles. Temple was named to the UIF Eastern Conference All-Star team in 2008. Temple has played 49 games for the Extreme over the previous four season, compiling 188 ½ tackles, and a franchise leading 23 interceptions. While at Illinois State University, Temple twice received honorable mention All-Gateway Conference honors as a defensive back in 2005 and 2006.

Quince Holman, 6'4" 260 lbs. - Defensive Lineman from Northern Illinois University, will return to the Extreme in 2011 for a sixth season. Holman ranks 2nd in Extreme history with 50 games played, 2nd in franchise history with 190 ½ tackles, and is the franchise leader in tackles for loss (43), quarterback sacks (25 ½), and blocked kicks (15). Holman was voted to the 2007 and 2008 UIF East All-Star Teams representing the Extreme. During the 2010 season, Holman was limited to 7 games due to injury, but was able to record 23 ½ tackles (8 ½ for loss), and 6 sacks. Holman spent time in the Canadian Football League with the Hamilton Tiger Cats following his collegiate career at Northern Illinois University, where he was a four year starter and was a First Team All Mid-American Conference selection as a senior.

"Both James and Quince are familiar faces in our community and throughout the Indoor Football League," states Head Coach Mike Murray. "Both players have been very successful and productive in the indoor game over the past 4-5 years and have been keys to the on-field success of the Extreme organization. They are both great people that are also tremendous athletes whom we're excited to have on our roster for the 2011 season."

With these two signings, the Extreme roster now stands at 32 players announced as part of the 2011 training camp roster. IFL training camp rosters consist of 45 players.

The Bloomington Extreme will open training camp Sunday, February 13, 2011 and kick off the season two weeks later, Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum against the Richmond Revolution with a 3:05 pm start time.
