
Wild Open New Year by Re-Signing Local Linemen

The Wichita Wild of the Indoor Football League (IFL) has re-signed two linemen that are familiar to local football fans. The team re-signed Calvin Collazo and Scott Moore for the 2011 season. Both players saw action for the Wild during their rookie season in 2010.
Collazo came into training camp last season as a reserve offensive lineman for the Wild, but quickly caught the coaching staff's attention. Collazo moved into the starting line-up in the third week of the season. He remained a starter until going down with a knee injury during the Wild's 9th game and was lost for the season.
Collazo finished his collegiate eligibility at Bethel College in Newton in 2008. He started 10 games for the Threshers as the squad went 6-4. In 2007, Collazo attended West Texas A & M. The Caldwell, KS native worked his way into the starting line-up for the Buffaloes by his performance early in the season. The Buffaloes went 11-2 and were crowned Lone Star Conference champions.
Collazo played at Butler County Community College in El Dorado during the 2005 and 2006 seasons. In 2006, Collazo was named to the All-Jayhawk Conference squad. The Grizzlies won the conference title with an 11-1 record and finished the season ranked #3 in the final poll. Collazo was named an honorable mention to the All Conference team as a freshman in 2005. The Grizzlies finished with a record of 9-2 and won the Jayhawk Conference title.
Moore saw action in six games on the defensive line in 2010. Moore compiled 10.5 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Moore joined the Wild after a playing career at Kansas Wesleyan in Salina. Moore was a three-time All-KCAC selection from 2006-2008 for the Coyotes. Moore spent his first year of football eligibility at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, CA. Moore also played on the basketball team and once played in a basketball game in the afternoon and played in the 3rd and 4th quarter of a football game at night. Moore played his first season of college basketball at Tallahassee Community College in Florida.
Growing up in Chicago, Moore did not play basketball or football until he joined the Air Force. Moore was in the Air Force from 2000-2004 before he went to college. Moore was on the bowling and chess team during high school.
