Augusta, Ga. - Catcher Steve Holm has been promoted to Double A Norwich, the San Francisco Giants announced today. Taking his place on the roster is Greg McCarthy. Holm was batting .233 with 5 home runs and 31 RBIs in 56 games. McCarthy, an undrafted free agent out of Western Oregon University, was batting .333 in 18 games in the Arizona Rookie League. McCarthy was the NCAA Division II West Region Player of the Year.
