
Hoilman's Big Double Lifts Hawks

BOISE, Idaho - A two-run double by Paul Hoilman gave the Hawks the lead for good, as Boise won their second-straight game, a 3-2 decision over the Tri-City Dust Devils before 3,201 fans at Memorial Stadium.
Boise got on the board first in the second as Ben Klafcyznski roped an RBI triple of the wall in right, but the Dust Devils evened the score on a double steal in the fifth. In the bottom of the frame, Brad Zapenas roped a two-out single and Willson Contreras walked - setting the stage for Hoilman, who lined a pitch to the right-center gap to clear the bases.
Tri-City would get a run back in the seventh on a Brian Humphries single, but Jose Rosario stranded the tying and go-ahead runs, with Bryce Shafer tossing a 1-2-3 ninth for the save.
Hoilman, Klafcynzki, and Pin-Chieh Chen each had two hits for the Hawks, with David Hernandez logging two hits for the Dust Devils.
Game 2 of the series is tomorrow night at 7:15 p.m., with Yao-Lin Wang meeting Vianney Mayo.
NOTES - Hawks notch their first win streak of the season and pull to .500 on the year...Chen extended his hitting streak to five games...the Chicago Cubsmade seven roster moves today - sending Carlos Romero and Vismeldy Bieneme to Mesa and releasing D.J. Fitzgerald, sending Cam Greathouse and Kyung-Min Na to Boise from Peoria and Kenny Socorro and Jose Guevara to Boise from Mesa.
