Rockford, Ill. - After picking up a point in an overtime loss to Milwaukee last night, the Rockford IceHogs find themselves tied for the top spot in the Midwest Division as they welcome the Hamilton Bulldogs to the BMO Harris Bank Center tonight.
The puck hits the ice at 7:05 p.m. for the first matchup of the season between the two squads. The IceHogs will square off with Hamilton one more time during the 2012-13 regular season, at Copps Coliseum on Friday, Jan. 4. Rockford is looking to improve their all-time record of 2-6-0-0 against the Bulldogs.
The first 2,500 fans into the building will receive an IceHogs baseball hat courtesy of Xfinity.

Fans that aren't able to make it out to the game can watch live on WIFR's 23.2 "Weather Now", Comcast channel 436, Charter channel 970, or online through ahllive.com. The game broadcast will also be available for fans to listen via the IceHogs website.
Trailing 3-1 late in the second period last night in Milwaukee, Brandon Pirri tallied to bring the Hogs back within a goal to set up the final frame. Then, Rockford's captain and leading scorer Martin St. Pierre sent the game to overtime with his 10th goal of the season. But, Milwaukee earned the extra point with a tally 1:45 into the extra frame to claim a 4-3 win.
Fans are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items and new toys to donate, benefitting the Salvation Army and Toys for Tots. All fans that make a contribution to either the food or toy drive at the game tonight will receive a $5 upper bowl ticket or a coupon for $5 off any regular priced ticket for select games.
Make sure to stick around following the game as St. Pierre will shave his head on the main concourse and donate all of his hair to Locks of Love. During the game, Great Clips will be setup on the concourse to cut hair for anyone willing to donate to Locks of Love as well. Every fan that shaves their head will also receive a free ticket to the IceHogs game on Jan. 9 and an IceHogs hat. Women can receive a free ticket and hat by clipping a portion of their hair.
The IceHogs, along with WIFR and ESPN 1380 are also collecting gently used sports equipment to donate to the Stateline Boys and Girls Club. A bin will be setup at the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office for fans to drop off their equipment and each person to donate will receive a special ticket offer (buy one ticket, get one free) for any IceHogs home game through the Jan. 11 game.
Next Home Game: Saturday, Dec. 22 vs. Abbotsford Heat at 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs host the Western Conference's top team on Saturday for Stan Mikita Night. Blackhawks Ambassador and Hall of Famer Stan Mikita will be on hand to meet and greet fans. The first 1,500 fans through the gates will get a mini stick compliments of U.S. Cellular.
