Syracuse, NY- Dustin Tokarski stopped 29 as the Syracuse Crunch blanked the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins 4-0 tonight at the War Memorial Arena.

Syracuse improved to an AHL best record of 17-6-1-2 overall and 6-3-1-0 at home. The Crunch scored twice on the power-play and twice at even-strength to blank the Penguins for their second consecutive shutout.

Brett Connolly sent 1,286 stuffed animals flying onto the ice when he opened the scoring and cued the Stanley Steemer Tired Teddy Toss with the Crunch's first goal at the 14:35 mark of the opening frame. Connolly pushed the rebound of a JT Wyman shot past Penguins netminder Brad Thiessen for the score.

The Crunch power-play unit made it 2-0 when Alex Killorn deflected a pass from Philip-Michael Devos past Thiessen at the 11:21 mark of the middle frame.

P.C. Labrie added a third period tally, his sixth of the season, when he one-timed a Tyler Johnson pass 5:07 into the period. Johnson scored the Crunch's second power-play tally when he lifted his own rebound over Thiessen with 3:23 to play in the final frame.
