Hoffman one of WNBA's most improved

Indiana Fever News Release
With the Indiana Fever hopeful of clinching its fourth consecutive playoff berth in the coming week, fifth-year power forward Ebony Hoffman continues to solidify her status as the leading candidate as the WNBA's Most Improved Player. She has been at the core of Indiana's success the past four seasons, and in 2008 - a breakout year for the former first-round draft pick - she is currently fourth in the WNBA in rebounding.
Married last October and trimmer by about 20 pounds, Hoffman has asserted herself as a night-in, night-out go-to player for the Fever.
She has diversified her offensive game with greater shooting range on the perimeter and a wider array of scoring moves in the post. The Los Angeles native has assumed a full-time role in the Fever's power forward position, and ranks fourth in the WNBA in rebounds per game. Besides an obvious scoring and rebounding increase, she has taken control of all phases of her game and become Indiana's most consistent player throughout this season.
