Hockey tour to help tsunami victims

Montreal, January 19, 2005 - For the eighth consecutive season, the Alouettes will travel throughout Quebec during the winter to mingle with their fans while playing friendly hockey games. This year, in addition to helping local charities, the Alouettes' organization has decided to donate part of the profits to Red Cross to help the victims of the disaster that struck Asia last month.

This year again, fans will have the opportunity to see Sylvain Girard, Ed Philion, Bruno Heppell, Luke Fritz, Paul Lambert, Patrick Dorvélus, Philippe Girard and others starring on the ice rather than on the grass.

A new baby

Defensive coordinator Chris Jones and his wife Sarah are the proud new parents of a third child. Austin Bryant Jones weighed nine pounds six ounces and was 21 inches tall when she was born on Jan. 7 in Jasper, Tennessee.

Wedding bells

Alouettes' Head Therapist Scott Suter was married on Nov. 27 in Montreal to the lovely Alison Gélinas.

New grads

The Alouettes' organization also congratulates two of its cheerleaders who graduated last December. Sonia Francoeur completed a Bachelor's degree in actuarial studies while Ève-Lyne Morel finished a Bachelor's degree in psychology.
