As part of the 2010 SaskEnergy Hockey Day in Saskatchewan celebration, SaskEnergy will send five youth hockey teams to a WHL game in each of Saskatchewan's WHL Cities during the SaskEnergy Hockey Day in Saskatchewan activities - January 15 - 17, 2010. Just fill out an entry form today and your team could be selected as one of the groups to see live WHL action in Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Regina, Saskatoon, or Swift Current.

SaskEnergy and the Saskatchewan Hockey Association (SHA) are proud to bring you SaskEnergy Hockey Day in Saskatchewan. The main theme of SaskEnergy Hockey Day in Saskatchewan is to promote the game of hockey at the grassroots level and to build community spirit by featuring the local arenas as the centre of activity for families on January 16 or for the weekend. SaskEnergy and the SHA encourage minor hockey associations and Senior or Junior Teams to host a variety of special events to celebrate Hockey Day in Saskatchewan in their own community. In addition to promoting the benefits to youth who participate in minor hockey, Hockey Day in Saskatchewan provides local minor hockey associations with a platform to raise funds to keep the rinks alive and well in all communities.

SaskEnergy Hockey Day in Saskatchewan takes place in communities throughout Saskatchewan annually on the third Saturday in January with the SHA choosing one location yearly to serve as the provincial host of the event. The 2010 host community is Lanigan and events are scheduled for January 16, 2010.

How to enter contest:

1. The SaskEnergy Hockey Day in Saskatchewan WHL Youth Experience contest will begin on October 31, 2009 and will end on December 15, 2009

2. To participate in the contest, team coaches/managers must complete an official entry form on the SaskEnergy website at http://www.saskenergy.com/community/HockeyTeamAppl.asp.

3. Only one entry per team will be permitted in this contest. Preference will be give to players in the initiation/novice/atom or peewee divisions.

4. One group team prize package to be given out in each of the 5 Saskatchewan WHL team cities:

- SaskEnergy will provide a group ticket package for one team (16 players & 4 coaches) to one of the 5 games on the SaskEnergy Hockey Day in Saskatchewan weekend (January 15 - 17, 2010). Please note: SaskEnergy will not be responsible for transportation or meal costs incurred by the team to attend the game.
