HiToms to Host Golf Tournament

High Point/Thomasville, N.C. The Post 87 HiToms announced today they will be hosting their inaugural Golf Tournament on May 22nd at Grandover Resort & Spa in Greensboro.

The $125 entry fee includes: 18 holes of golf with GPS yardage, range balls prior to play, a HiToms Flex Plan ticket package and a post-tournament reception. All proceeds will benefit American Legion Baseball.

This is an excellent opportunity for people in the surrounding communities to help support our local Post 87 HiToms and have a lot of fun in the process, said Assistant General Manager, Bill Madison. We want to make sure that kids are given the opportunity to play the sport they love and this tournament will help make that possible.

The Post 87 HiToms are a member of American Legion Baseball and consist of players ages 19 and under.

The HiToms are a proud member of the Coastal Plain League, the nation s hottest summer collegiate baseball league. Celebrating its 15th season in 2011, the CPL features 15 teams playing in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The CPL gives college players the chance to refine their skills with the use of wooden bats. Players are housed with local host families for the summer and past experiences have been very positive for both players and hosts. Furthermore, the CPL has had over 800 alumni drafted and 41 alums make their Major League debut thus far.
