Hitchcock Statement on FC Dallas vs. Los Angeles SuperLiga Match
July 30, 2007 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
FC Dallas News Release
FRISCO, Texas (Monday, July 30, 2007) - FC Dallas general manager Michael Hitchcock issued the following statement regarding FC Dallas' third SuperLiga match versus the Los Angeles Galaxy on Tuesday, July 31 at Pizza Hut Park (7 pm CT):
"Tuesday's SuperLiga match against the LA Galaxy is one of the most important matches in our club's history. A win would advance FC Dallas to the semifinals of the tournament, and put us one step closer to winning this inaugural North American title.
While we understand that some fans may be disappointed that David Beckham's injury has prevented him from playing in the match, we know that Los Angeles is still a very dangerous team and will also be looking to secure their place in the SuperLiga semifinals. We're looking forward to the support of a sold-out crowd at Pizza Hut Park."
Fans that purchased tickets through the FC Dallas front office or through Ticketmaster to the July 31 game will receive a special ticket offer for the next game between FC Dallas and the Los Angeles Galaxy at Pizza Hut Park before tickets are on sale to the general public. Fans with questions may contact the front office via email at feedback@fcdallas.net.
