STATESBORO, Ga. - South Georgia Tormenta FC continues to be a leader in the United Soccer League and around the region. As the smallest professional soccer market in the United States, Tormenta FC was the first team announced in USL League One, the first to bring professional sports back to Statesboro since 1952 and will now break more barriers and continue to shine a spotlight on its community.

Excited to continue its tradition of firsts, Tormenta FC will host a press conference on Tuesday, June 8, at 1:30 p.m. at The Clubhouse in Statesboro, Georgia. The club invites all media and public to witness this much-anticipated announcement about growing the game of soccer in the Southeast. The press conference will also be streamed live to the team's YouTube for media and fans around the nation and world.

June 8 will be a historic day not only for Tormenta FC but for all of South Georgia and for soccer fans all over.

1:30 pm: Announcement video will air.

1:37 pm: Press Conference & Livestream begins:
