Hill City Howlers News Release

The Hillcats announced today that all of their 2011 games, regular season and post-season, will once again broadcast live on KD Country 105.5 FM. In addition, all games will be streamed live over the internet on www.lynchburg-hillcats.com, kdcountry.com and on milb.com.

KD Country has served as the home of Hillcats radio broadcasts since the 2003 season. Every broadcast will start with the Pre-Game Show presented by Honda/Suzuki of Lynchburg beginning 20-25-minutes prior to the scheduled contest. This will include interviews, a preview of the upcoming game, a look around the rest of the Carolina League and highlights from the previous contest. Each game will conclude with the Post-Game Show, a 15-minute report that will feature on-field interviews, the game recap and a preview of the next game for the Hillcats.

"We are happy to announce our continued relationship with KD Country," said Hillcats General Manager Paul Sunwall. "It has been a great partnership that continues to give the Hillcats an excellent radio and online presence for our fans to enjoy."

KD Country is a 6,000-watt FM station located in Altavista, Va. On the air since 1969, current Owners Dave and Elizabeth Hoehne bought the station in 1992. They also own the sister AM station of KD Country, WKDE AM 1000. The Hillcats will receive an additional presence throughout Virginia this season as the games will also be heard on KD Country in Roanoke, 96.9 FM.

The season and the broadcasts start on Friday, April 8th, as the Hillcats start their campaign at the Potomac Nationals at 7:05 p.m. at Pfitzner Stadium. Scott Bacon returns for his fourth season as the Voice of the Hillcats with Erik Wilson joining the broadcast team for his first year with the team.

Season tickets, book tickets and nightly skybox rentals are currently on sale for the 2011 season. They can be purchased by calling the box office at (434) 528-1144 or online at www.lynchburg-hillcats.com. Ticket purchases can also be made in person at the Lynchburg City Stadium Ticket Office (Mon.-Fri., 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.). The home opener is slated for April 15th at 6:05 p.m. when the Hillcats welcome the Myrtle Beach Pelicans to town.
