THE HILLCATS: The Hillcats and Keys were rained out on Sunday afternoon...The game has been rescheduled to be played this weekend in Frederick...It was the first time this season the Cats had a game postponed...Lynchburg allowed a season-high 11 runs in an 11-5 loss on Saturday night at City Stadium...The Hillcats finished their 12-game homestand at 5-7...Tonight's game marks the first of 14 out of 17 games on the road...

WEARY OF WIETERS: Saturday night Keys catcher Matt Wieters hit his third home run in his last two games in the Frederick victory...He has a pair of two-homer games this season off the Hillcats and now has five homers against Lynchburg in six games...The fifth overall pick in last year's draft hit two home runs in his first two professional at-bats against Lynchburg in the season opener in Frederick...In 2008 Wieters is batting .444 (8-for-18) with five home runs and eight RBI versus the Cats...
CLUBBING CATCHER: C Steve Lerud hit his team leading sixth home run in the fourth inning on Friday night...During the past homestand the Cats catcher batted .306 (11-for-36) with three doubles, three home runs and 10 RBI in 12 games ...Over his last 21 games the former fourth round pick in 2003 is hitting .299 (20-for-67) with six doubles, five home runs and 18 RBI...
FINE NIGHT FOR FRIDAY: Wednesday night SS Brian Friday went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and three runs scored...The 2007 third round draft pick was 3/4 of the way to a cycle after three at-bats in the first four innings...It was the first four-hit game of his career...The shortstop is now batted .348 (16-for-46) on the past homestand with 7 doubles, a triple, 5 RBI and 12 runs scored in 12 games...He is now tied for third in the league with 25 runs scored...
INCREDIBLE START: 3B Jim Negrych entered the day first in the league in hits (51), batting average (.402), and RBI (26), and on-base percentage (.462) and tied for third in runs scored (25)...The former sixth round pick from 2006 recorded 17 multi-hit games in his first 28 starts this season, reached safely in 27 of his first 28 games played and he is hitting an astonishing .535 (23-for-43) with men in scoring position...
