Hillcats earn their ninth come from behind win this season

Pedro Alvarez lifted the Hillcats to a 5-4 win on Monday night with his game-winning home run in the top of the seventh inning at Myrtle Beach. Game two of the three game set takes place on Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m.
Myrtle Beach would claim the early advantage with a two-run home run off the bat of Freddie Freeman in the bottom of the first. The Hillcats would even the game though with a pair of their own in the top of the fourth inning. Eddie Prasch drove-in the first run with ground out and Marcus Davis singled in the second run of the frame.
Myrtle Beach would regain the lead in the bottom of the fourth with an RBI bunt by Robert Marcial and an RBI sacrifice fly by Cole Miles to put the Pelicans back in front 4-2. Lynchburg responded again with single runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings.
Maiko Loyola tied the game in the sixth with an RBI single after Davis started the frame with a triple. Then in the seventh Pedro Alvarez hit the first pitch of the inning over the wall in right for a solo home run that gave Lynchburg the lead for good.
Dustin Molleken (3-1) earned the win by tossing three scoreless innings and striking out five. Lynchburg (12-7) maintained the best record in the Carolina League and improved to 3-2 on their current seven-game road trip. The loss went to Michael Broadway (0-2) for the Pelicans (7-12).
Game two of the series is on Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m. at BB&T Coastal Field. The Hillcats will send left-hander Chi-Hung Cheng (1-0, 6.23) to the mound opposite fellow lefty Jose Ortegano (1-3, 6.89) for the Pelicans.
