STRANGELY ENOUGH: LHP Justin Wilson allowed two runs in five innings of work yesterday and took a no-decision in the Hillcats loss...He also went five innings and allowed two runs in his last start and took the loss in that outing...In the eight starts this season Wilson has gone five innings or more the Hillcats are just 3-5 and have lost the last three, despite the fact that he is posting a 3.79 earned run average in those appearances...In the nine starts he has failed to go five innings Lynchburg has gone 6-3, even though he has a 9.85 ERA in those outings...The Cats have given Wilson 4.3 runs of support per game in the starts he has gone five innings or more and 6.7 runs of support in the starts he hasn't...

WE MEET AGAIN: OF Lastings Milledge played his second game of three with the Hillcats and went 1-for-5 with an RBI double...The run-scoring two-bagger was his first hit and run driven in as a Cat...Yesterdays game also featured another former major leaguer Dmitri Young, who was playing for Potomac...Young, also known as Da Meat Hook, has over 12 years of major league experience under his belt, is a two-time All-Star (2003 and 2007) and was the 2007 Comeback Player of the Year...He accounted for the first run of the game for the Nationals with his first home run of the season...Milledge and Young were teammates last season at the big-league level with the Washington Nationals...Milledge was the number one overall prospect in the New York Mets organization (2005 and 2006) and was traded to the Pirates from the Nationals on June 30th along with RHP Joel Hanrahan for former Hillcats OF Nyjer Morgan and LHP Sean Burnett...Last season Milledge spent the majority of the season with Washington and batted .268 with 14 homers, 61 RBI and 24 steals in 138 games with the Nationals...The Hillcats are the sixth team he has played with in 41 games this season (GCL Nationals, Syracuse Chiefs, Washington Nationals, GCL Pirates, Indianapolis Indians)...He is now 1-for-8 with a double and an RBI in his two games with the Green & Gold...

FINDING MORE WATTAGE: C Kris Watts went 3-for-4 yesterday with a double and a bunt base hit...His nine-game hitting streak is his longest of the season and over that time he has gone 14-for-30 (.467) with four doubles, four RBI and three runs scored...The all-star catcher hit .444 in April and was still batting .373 on May 23rd, but from then until before this hitting streak started he was hitting .195 (15-for-77) and his averaged dipped to .298...Watts currently is second in the league with his .323 batting average and is first in the circuit with a .451 on-base percentage...He also has layed down his first two bunt base hits of the season in the last two games...
