Hill Named IFL Special Teams Player of the Week

Green Bay, WI - DB B.J Hill has been named Week 14 IFL Special Teams Player of the Week after the Blizzard's 54-37 loss to the Cedar Rapids Titans. Hill recorded 153 kickoff return yards and a kickoff return touchdown against the Titans.

With 6:46 remaining in the third quarter, Hill broke though the middle of the field and out raced the Titans to the endzone en route to his 13th career kickoff return for a touchdown. In addition, Hill also added five receptions for 41 yards and two tackles. He finished the game with 194 all-purpose yards.

This is Hill's sixth IFL Special Team Player of the Week award during his career and his first this season. The 2011 IFL Special Teams Player of the Year now has an IFL career record 13 kickoff returns for touchdowns and leads the IFL this season with 1241 all-purpose yards. Hill has also now scored a touchdown in four consecutive games.

Nebraska WR Kayne Farquharson was named Offensive Player of the Week while Colorado DL Gabe Knapton was named Defensive Player of the Week.

This marks the fourth time in five weeks a Blizzard player has been awarded with a league honor. Quarterback Spencer Ohm and WR Ryan Balentine shared Offensive Player of the Week honors in Week 10, while DB Elijah Fields took home Defensive Player of the Week honors in Week 11. LB Derek Earls and DB Kenny Viser were named Co-Special Teams Players of the Week during Week 13.

This week the Blizzard travel to Allen, Texas to take on the Texas Revolution on Saturday May 25. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
