Game Highlights
Quarter 1: Highlanders 31, Storm 24
The Highlanders came out flying to start the game, going up 17-6 quickly. PEI responded well, bringing the game back to within 2 points. With the absence of Deshaunt Walker, players such as Jamal Reynolds, Kenny Jones, and Bruce Massey led their strong finish to the first quarter, and a 7-point lead.
Quarter 2: Highlanders 69, Storm 56
The second half started very even, with both teams offences making shot after shot. The Highlanders were able to spark a run based on their 3-point shooting ability. Jamal Reynolds continued to find ways to score, as he finished the half with 20 points. Cape Breton's play throughout the first half provided the team with a comfortable lead heading into the second half.
Quarter 3: Highlanders 95, Storm 90
The 3rd quarter started similar to how the 2nd quarter ended. Cape Breton was shooting well and PEI was still looking to get on a run. The Highlanders gained an 18-point lead, but midway through the quarter, strong 3-point shooting by the Storm brought the game back within 5. PEI's 34-point quarter made this anyone's game, and an exciting final quarter to come.
Quarter 4: Highlanders 128, Storm 117
The start of the fourth quarter was owned by the Storm, who started off hot, and took the lead for the first time in the game. The Highlanders responded well, by going on a big run that would put them up 15 points. With this lead, the Storm didn't have enough time to rally for a late game run. Cape Breton was able to seal the win in convincing fashion.
