Game Highlights
Quarter 1: Highlanders 28, Magic 24
The Magic were looking to earn their 11th straight win, and match an NBL Canada record in the process. The Highlanders were without Jabari Craig and Chris Johnson. The Highlanders came out strong and grabbed an early lead thanks to aggressive defence and good shooting. The Highlanders played well against the best team in the league, as they led by four at the end of the first quarter.
Quarter 2: Highlanders 53, Magic 50
The Highlanders and Magic had trouble scoring at the start of the second quarter, but it quickly turned into an exciting back-and-forth game as both teams played fast and with purpose. The Highlanders were effective in finding rebounds on both sides of the court, but the Magic showed why they are the best team in the league and would not go away quietly, as they managed to take the lead in the latter part of the quarter. But the Highlanders did not quit and took the lead once again and led by three at the buzzer.
Quarter 3: Highlanders 84, Magic 70
The Highlanders continued their momentum into the second half. It was a physical contest between the Atlantic Division rivals, and the Magic managed to tie the game midway through the quarter. The Highlanders were shooting well to end the quarter as they regained and extended the lead.
Quarter 4: Highlanders 114, Magic 84
Highlanders strong defense led to good offense as they extended their lead over the Magic to 20 halfway through the final frame. The Highlanders were able to maintain control for the rest of the game and ended the Magic's undefeated streak.
