Game Highlights
Quarter 1: Highlanders 21, Hurricanes 33
The game opened with Halifax playing a well-rounded game, putting up lots of points, and being solid on defense. They were lights out from beyond the arc which helped add to their lead. The highlanders couldn't find their groove and it showed on the scoreboard. Lots of turnovers were a big cause of the deficit at the end of the quarter.
Quarter 2: Highlanders 55, Hurricanes 60
The Highlanders came out in the second quarter playing like they have been in their past 7 games, nailing key shots from players like Bruce Massey Jr, and Deshaunt Walker. They were able to hold off the offence from Halifax and ended the half only down 5 points.
Quarter 3: Highlanders 81, Halifax 91
The Hurricanes came out flying in the second half, starting with a 10-0 run. The Highlanders responded with a 14-7 run to bring the game back within reach. Halifax was nailing lots of 3 pointers and were able to extend the lead to end the quarter.
Quarter 4: Highlanders 109, Hurricanes 112
The Highlanders took the court in the fourth flying, starting it off with a 19-4 run. The play from Bruce Massey Jr lead the way on the run. The rest of the quarter was tight with each team exchanging baskets. A big defensive stop late in the game from the Hurricanes won them the game, and snapped the Highlanders 7-game winning streak.
