INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Fever has waived guard Stephanie Higgs and added two rookie guards to its training camp roster. Higgs, a 2007 Georgia Tech graduate, was signed as a free agent by the Fever on April 3.
Former Purdue standout Cherelle George was one of the two players added. George did not play during her senior year at Purdue. During her junior year, she earned the Big Ten's first ever Sixth-Player of the Year Award while averaging 4.3 points per game for the 2005-06 season.
The Fever also added Constance Jinks who averaged 26.3 ppg with Israel's Maccabi Tel Kabir this past winter. Jinks graduated from UNLV in 2003 and was drafted in the third round of the 2003 WNBA Draft (38th overall) by the Houston Comets. She was in camp with the Phoenix Mercury in 2006, though has never appeared in a WNBA game.
