
Hernandez, Two Relievers Combine on Five-Hit Shutout in Jackals Win

Starting pitcher Yasmani Hernandez and two relievers combined on a five-hit shutout as New Jersey downed Rockland by a 3-0 final.
Hernandez went the first six innings of the contest allowing only four hits while striking out six batters in an 88-pitch performance. The bullpen duo of Jose Velez and Vin Mazzaro finished the final three innings and combined allowed two walks and a hit with six strikeouts. Hernandez notched the win and is now 6-6 on the season.
Offensively for the Jackals, Connor Hofmann went 2-for-4 with a run batted in while Daniel Canela added a pair of hits in three at-bats along with a walk and a run scored. New Jersey scored a run in the third followed up by two runs in the fourth.
For Rockland in the loss, Conrad Gregor and Marcus Nidiffer each collected two hits.
