Toledo Mud Hens News Release
The Toledo Mud Hens made a roster move on Tuesday adding C Mike DiFelice.
The 34-year-old DiFelice was with Detroit during Spring Training but did not make the Opening Day roster. His 13-year career has included stops with the St. Louis Cardinals, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Kansas City Royals. His last full season in the minor leagues was in 1995 with Louisville (AAA) and Arkansas (AA).
DeFelice played last season with Kansas City, appearing in 62 games and hitting .254 with 3 home runs and 25 RBI. Originally selected in the 11th round of the 1991 draft by St. Louis, DiFelice has a career .262 batting average in the minor leagues and has played in 842 professional games.
The Hens have released C Luis Rodriguez to make room on their 24-man roster.
