
Henderson Named to Alumni Roster

Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins, entering their 20th season in the American Hockey League, today announced that former P-Bruin Jay Henderson will participate in the Alumni Game on November 13 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.
Henderson, a native of Edmonton, Alberta, spent part of six seasons with the Providence Bruins from 1997 to 2001, 2002-03 and 2004-05. In his first full season with the P-Bruins, the left wing tallied 16 points and 172 penalty minutes en route to winning the franchise's first ever Calder Cup Trophy. The P-Bruins' captain in 2004-05, Henderson recorded 52 goals, 56 assists and 891 penalty minutes in 278 career games with Providence.
The 5'11", 190 lb. left wing saw time in 33 NHL games with the Boston Bruins, recording four points and 37 penalty minutes. After winning the Calder Cup in 1999, Henderson went on to win the trophy in 2003 with the Houston Aeros and 2004 with the Milwaukee Admirals. After finishing his North American professional career in 2004-05, Henderson went on to play with teams in Germany, Austria and England.
Over the next month, the Providence Bruins will continue to unveil the roster of players that will return to Providence for the November 13 Alumni Game.
