CURVE, Pa. - Fans, Curve starting pitcher Rudy Owens needs your help! He's been nominated for a MiLBY, an end of the season award presented by MiLB.com, for the Double-A Starter of the Year after his spectacular season with Altoona.
The Pirates Minor League Pitcher of the Year for the second year in a row, Owens went 12-6 with a 2.46 ERA to lead the Eastern League in ERA while also nabbing E.L. Postseason All-Star honors. He led the circuit in WHIP (0.98) and his 12 wins were tied for second most in the league as well.
