St. Cloud, MN - The St. Cloud Norsemen of the North American Hockey League announced Ben Helgeson as the first captain in Norsemen history.
Helgeson, a Roseau, MN native, earns the honor amid his third season in junior hockey and first in the NAHL.
"It is an incredibly humbling honor to be named captain of this organization," said Helgeson.
The University of Wisconsin (NCAA DI - BIG 10) commit is enjoying a strong campaign during the 2020-21 season, amassing seven points through his first 11 games. His four goals and three assists are tied for the most points of Norsemen skaters.
