Calgary, AB - Twenty-four hours after taking on the Portland LumberJax in Oregon Friday night, the Calgary Roughnecks will be back in the friendly confines of the Saddledome facing the same opponent.

The respective records suggest the 6-5 Riggers should be favourites to handle the 2-10 Portland squad. But lacrosse does not always follow the form book, and the Roughnecks are well aware that Portland has its anchor, Brodie Merrill, the man considered by many pundits to be the best lacrosse player in the world.

"Portland is far better than its record indicates," said Kurt Silcott, Calgary's General Manager, "and they'd like nothing better than to adopt the role of spoiler. But if we play with the same intensity and focus we brought against Arizona last Saturday, I'm confident we'll do well."
