TONIGHT
The Stockton Heat return from the All-Star Break for the front end of a home-and-home against Pacific Division counterpart San Jose, Friday's game in Stockton and Saturday's contest at the SAP Center in San Jose. The Heat will look to shake their struggles against the Barracuda, coming into tonight's game 1-7 on the year against the top team in the Pacific Division.
LIKE RYCH
Kerby Rychel headed into the All-Star Break in style with a two-goal effort Saturday against San Antonio, including the overtime winner to snap the Rampage's 12-game home win streak. The forward leads Stockton with 19 goals on the year and has 10 points in eight games against San Jose so far this year.
SPECIAL TEAMS ADVANTAGE
Stockton has owned the special teams battle against San Jose so far this season, entering tonight's game 9-for-28 (32.1 percent) on the power play while limiting the Barracuda to 4-for-35 (11.4 percent) on the man-advantage through eight games.
MANGIAPANE CALLED UP
Andrew Mangiapane was recalled by the Flames after scoring a pair of goals and adding in assists in two games with the Heat over the weekend in Texas.
DUBE ROLLING
Dillon Dube comes into tonight's game riding a five-game scoring streak, including two goals and three assists in that span. Over the five-game stretch, Dube is a plus-1.
PAST 60
Stockton has frequently required more than 60 minutes of regulation lately, with three of the team's last five and four of the last eight having to go past three periods of play. On the year, the Heat are 5-4 in games ending in 3-on-3 OT and 1-1 in games decided in shootouts.
