Abbotsford Heat News Release

Austin, TX - The Abbotsford Heat will look to continue their undefeated run against the Texas Stars (Dallas Stars) tonight at the Cedar Park Arena in Greater Austin. The Heat and Stars have clashed four times this season and the British Columbia outfit has earned eight of a possible eight points, with one affair needing a shootout to settle a deadlock through 65 minutes.

Three of the four Heat wins over the Stars were of the one-goal variety, while the other saw the Stars dropped 5-3. Two weeks ago the Stars made their first of two visits to the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre and dropped two decisions to the Heat with Chris Breen and Lance Bouma scoring the game winning goals on back-to-back nights that closed out the 2011 portion of the season.

The Heat will resume their five-game, ten-day road trip through the South with a pair of games in Oklahoma City on Saturday and Sunday. Abbotsford closes out the trip with a Martin Luther King Day afternoon game with the San Antonio Rampage on Monday. The Heat will return home on January 20th and 21st against the Charlotte Checkers (Carolina Hurricanes) in their only trip to the Fraser Valley this season.

Tonight's start is slated for 5:30 PM PST with the pre-game show starting at 5:15 on Country 107.1 in Abbotsford and theAHL.com.
