July 28, 2014 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
New York City FC News Release
New York City Football Club announced today that Hays, the world's leading recruiting experts in qualified, professional and skilled people, has become the Official Recruitment Partner of the club.
Hays already enjoys a successful relationship with Barclays Premier League Champions, Manchester City Football Club, as the Club's Official Recruitment Partner. Manchester City FC and New York City FC are both owned by City Football Group.
Hays plans to activate the three-year partnership as Official Recruitment Partner by helping the Club recruit the off-pitch talent they need. Hays will be able to actively promote its new relationship with the Club through the use of New York City FC assets including the Club's crest, player imagery and powerful brand messaging on digital and social media platforms and will also be ensuring global employees can engage with the New York City FC partnership through incentive programs.
Sholto Douglas-Home, Hays Chief Marketing Officer, said: "We are proud to be the Official Recruitment Partner of New York City FC. These are exciting times in Major League Soccer, and we are thrilled to be able to help the Club with their ambitious plans in the League. Our own business in New York and North America has similarly bold growth ambitions. We look forward to sharing success on and off the pitch with New York City FC."
Tim Pernetti, Chief Business Officer for New York City Football Club, added: "We are delighted to welcome Hays to the New York City FC family as one of our first official partners. As we continue to work hard every day to build New York City FC into a competitive Club on the pitch and a top-notch organization, recruiting the right talent will always be essential to our success. Hays is the ideal partner to help us to meet that challenge and we are looking forward to working together."
New York City FC was launched in May 2013 in partnership with the New York Yankees, and will play their first game in March 2015. With more than 19 million people in the New York area, the City has a rapidly expanding soccer fan-base and New York City FC will be kicking off their inaugural season in Yankee Stadium, in the heart of New York City.
