
Hawks Talk: 7,058 Fans Pack the War Memorial for Opening Weekend

After an exciting home-opening weekend, the Johnstown Tomahawks will once again take to the pavement. This time, they will visit the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights Nov. 18-19 in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
7,058 Pack War Memorial for Opening Weekend
The Johnstown Tomahawks and the Aston Rebels met in a marquee matchup last Friday and Saturday at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena.
The War Memorial was rocking all weekend with two-game attendance totaling 7,058.
Friday, the Rebels spoiled the Tomahawks' home opener by taking the game by a score of 3-2. Josh Biasillo and Mitchell Hale scored goals for the Tomahawks.

Saturday night the Rebels and Tomahawks concluded their weekend series. Johnstown would build a 2-1 lead heading into the third period but Aston's Evgeny Yakovlev tied the game early in the final stanza. Rebels defenseman Brennan Kapcheck ended the game in overtime with a goal to pickup the weekend sweep.

Next Up For Your Hawks is a Trip to Northeastern PA
Revolution Ice Centre will be the backdrop for this weekend's contest as the Tomahawks visit the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights.
Johnstown looks to get back to its winning ways starting Friday, Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m. The series concludes Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m.

Ball Hockey with the Boys & Girls Club of Somerset County
Once again, the Tomahawks and the Boys & Girls Club of Somerset County are partnering all season long to bring local kids an afternoon of hockey and lasting memories.
The Boys & Girls Club of Somerset County is a non-profit organization that supports the youth of our community.
Children who live in and attend school in Somerset County and are between the ages of 6 and 18 can become members of the Boys & Girls Club of Somerset County.
Throughout the year, Tomahawks players will be visiting the Boys & Girls Club every Tuesday afternoon so keep an eye out for the latest from our community outreach!
