Allentown, PA: The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks (6-3, 5-3 PIFL) will take on the Trenton Freedom (5-4) Saturday night in the final regular season home game. Kickoff is slated for 7:05 pm. It will be "Black Out Night" presented by StoudtPoole, PLLC and Black rally towels will be given out to the first 1,000 fans. Fans are encouraged to wear all black to the game (#AllBlackEverything) and be the 9th man on the field this week. The Steelhawks are looking to regroup after suffering a last second 35-28 defeat to the Richmond Raiders last week. Lehigh Valley is seeking to sweep their interstate rival in the Freedom and clinch a playoff berth with a win. The Steelhawks currently hold the second spot in the PIFL, and are hoping to host their first home playoff game in team history later this month. They would need a victory to keep pace in that race.

Saturday's matchup promises to be another tight contest between the two rivals. In the first meeting between the two teams, the story was the turnover battle. The Steelhawks defense generated six takeaways in the contest. Lehigh Valley will look to their defensive line and especially DE Larry Ford who leads the PIFL in sacks with 11. If the d-line can create some quick throws from the Freedom, then the ball hawking secondary of the Steelhawks will have many opportunities to force turnovers, leading to short fields for the offense to take advantage of. The 1st ranked scoring defense in the league will look to increase their outstanding turnover margin of plus 26.

The visiting Freedom is coming off a home victory over the Alabama Hammers. Quarterback Steve Panasuk, who is coming off a solid performance, last week (19 of 34, 180 yards, 3 touchdowns) looks to keep Trenton alive in the playoff picture. With the departure of Roger Jackson to the AFL, former Steelhawk Richie Martin (6 catches for 67 yards, 2 touchdowns) in the victory last week has seen a more predominant role on the offensive side of the ball.
