PASCO, Wash. - Carlos Escobar went 2-for-4 with three RBI, leading the Boise Hawks to a 7-2 victory over the Tri-City Dust Devils, before 2,108 fans at Gesa Stadium.

The win was the Hawks fourth-straight on the road and their eighth in their last 10 games away from Memorial Stadium, opening up a six-game lead in the Northwest League East Division over the rival Dust Devils and Spokane.

Dan Vogelbach started the scoring in the first, doubling home Jeimer Candelario with two outs to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead. An inning later, Escobar banged a double off the left field wall to score Xavier Batista from first to make it 2-0.

A two-run Candelario double in the fourth doubled the Boise lead, with Willson Contreras following driving in Candelario with the Hawks sixth double of the night to make it 5-0.

The Dust Devils got on the board in the fifth on a Rosell Herrera two-run single, but Felix Pena got Tom Murphy to fly out and Francisco Sosa to ground out with two men on to end the threat. The Hawks would put the game away in the ninth on a two-run Escobar single.

Pena got his third-straight win, going five innings of five-hit relief, with Nathan Dorris getting the final six outs for his third save. Contreras went 3-for-5 in the victory, with Albert Almora going 2-for-5.
