Everett Hawks News Release
EVERETT New Hawks Head Coach Cedric Walker has been busy. In his first few weeks he brought in 7 players to begin filling out the 2007 Hawks roster, scheduled an af2 open tryout in Southern California in December, and began preparations for a tryout in the Everett area in January. His work continues: on Wednesday, the Hawks announced that, over the last week, the af2 League Office has assigned them an additional 5 players, including several with AFL experience.
OS Derin Graham (5-10, 189 Indiana) - A 4-year veteran of the Arena Football League, Graham comes to the Hawks to help bolster the growing receiving corps. Graham's AFL career has taken him from the Grand Rapids Rampage (2002-2003) to the Philadelphia Soul (2004) and back to the Rampage (2005). Over the course of his career he has proven to be a valuable receiving option for some of the AFL's top QBs, including Michael Bishop (Rampage). Graham was also a teammate of new Hawks OL/DL Coach "Mad Dog" Johnson on the Rampage.
OL/DL Chris Bochen (6-1, 310 University of Manitoba) - A powerful lineman, Bochen was named to the All-Canadian Team twice, in 2000 and 2001. A native of Manitoba, British Columbia in Canada, Bochen played center for the University of Manitoba Bisons. Bochen is a rookie to Arena Football.
OL/DL Junior Kelemeni (6-3, 295 Northern Colorado) - Another big lineman that fits perfectly into Coach Walker's new offensive system, Kelemeni also has AFL experience. After spending part of the 2004 season with the Arizona Rattlers, Kelemeni spent the 2006 season as a FB/LB with the af2's Central Valley Coyotes.
