Havoc Wins Two In Shootouts

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The battle of the top two goalies in the SPHL turned out to be just that as the Huntsville Havoc beat the Columbus Cottonmouths 2-1 in a shootout Thursday night.
Mark Sibbald made 30 saves and stopped two of four shots in the shootout to get the win. Ian Vigier made 28 saves in the game but allowed all four Havoc shooters to score in the shootout.
Kyle Lundale scored at the 14:51 mark of the first period and the Cottonmouths had a 1-0 lead at the end of the first period.
Justin Rohr tied the game at 1-1 with 15:41 left in the second.
Same Bowles and Tim Green scored in the shootout for Columbus while Travis Kauffeldt, Justin Rohr, Jeff White and Ray Ortiz all scored for the Havoc. Jeff White got the game winner.
Friday, December 11 - Pensacola 1, Huntsville 2
HUNTSVILLE, AL - For the second consecutive night, the Huntsville Havoc fell behind 1-0, rallied to tie the game and then won in a shootout, this time with a 2-1 over the Pensacola Ice Flyers.
Lorne Misita gave Pensacola a 1-0 lead on a powerplay goal with 1:53 left in the first period.
Ray Ortiz tied the game at 1-1 with 18:54 left in the third period.
Rob Campbell and Anthony Monte both scored in the shootout for Pensacola, while Justin Rohr, Jeff White and Mike Carter all scored for the Havoc. Carter was credited with the game-winner.
Mark Sibbald was stellar in net for the Havoc by stopping 42 shots. Ryan Scott stopped 26 in the loss.
