Havoc Gain Momemtum Heading Into Playoffs

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc have picked up five points in the final three regular season games included three points over the weekend as the SPHL Playoffs get under way this week.
Friday, March 22 - Mississippi Surge 0, Huntsville 3
HUNTSVILLE, AL - Mark Sibbald made 46 saves as the Huntsville Havoc beat the Mississippi Surge 3-0 Thursday night.
Stuart Stefan put the Havoc on the board first with a powerplay goal at the 11:30 mark of the first period. Colin Reddin added another powerplay goal with 2:17 remaining in the period.
Reddin added his second goal of the night with 17:15 left in the third period to finish the scoring.
Nick Eno made 20 saves in the loss as the Surge outshot the Havoc 46-23. Huntsville finsihed two of three on the powerplay as the Surge failed to score in five chances.
Saturday, March 23 - Mississippi RiverKings 4, Huntsville 3 - OT
HUNTSVILLE, AL - Matt Whitehead scored just :15 into overtime giving the Mississippi RiverKings a 4-3 win over the Huntsville Havoc Friday night in the last regular season game for the Havoc.
Daryl Stoddard put the RiverKings up first with 3:20 left in the first period when found the back of the net.
Stuart Stefan tied the game at 1-1 with 11:11 left in the second period before Jeff Topilko put Mississippi back up 2-1 with 8:27 remaining in period two. Ryan Maunu scored with 7:21 left and the two teams were tied heading into the final period.
The Havoc took their first lead of the night when Justin Fox scored a powerplay goal with 9:26 left in the game but Mark Magnowski tied the game with 4:07 to go in the game.
Mark Sibbald made 23 saves in the overtime loss while David Wilson made 20 in the win.
