Lansing Lugnuts News Release

LANSING - The Lansing Lugnuts announced an exciting opportunity today for non-profit groups looking to raise extra money during the baseball season. The Lugnuts are looking for groups of 3-20 people who are hard-working and friendly to be a part of our concessions team for one or more of the 70 home dates during the 2007 season.

"We are very excited to offer this opportunity again this season," said Dave Parker, the Lugnuts Director of Food Service. "Our non-profit groups that have worked here in the past have brought a unique enthusiasm and professionalism to the park that exemplifies our goal of positively outrageous customer service."

Participating groups will work in the main concession stands as well as the portable stands along the concourse during a Lugnuts game and earn money for their group. Anyone that is 16 years or older can participate in the program.

"It was a great fundraiser for our schools last year," said Ronda Russ, whose group from Lansing Christian Schools took part in the program last year. "For us to have the ability to raise money in a fun, family friendly atmosphere was a terrific experience and one that we would do again without hesitation."

The program's success over the last few years has been evident not only to those who participate, but also to the people who have helped put it together.

"We see this as a way to help give back to the community," Parker said. "It is always gratifying to know that we can help the people that support us here in Lansing."

All groups that are interested should contact Jaci Lange, the Lugnuts Concessions Manager, by calling (517) 485-4500 ext. 262 or through e-mail at jlange@lansinglugnuts.com. More information can be found on the team's website at www.lansinglugnuts.com.
