Hat Tricks Open up Monster Stretch

Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks News Release

DANBURY, CT - The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks open their busiest stretch of the season since Blaine this week. The Hat Tricks will first welcome in the New Jersey Titans to battle on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon at Danbury Arena.

Danbury last played on November 5th and 6th against the same New Jersey Titans. Danbury played a solid 120 minutes of hockey that weekend but ended up with two one-goal losses.

"We need to shut down their top line, plain and simple," said Hat Tricks head coach Billy McCreary when speaking about New Jersey. "We need to stay out of the box and limit opportunities for the top line."

The top line that McCreary speaks of is one of the most impressive groups in the NAHL. Tommy Bannister, Brendan Dumas, and Anthony Calafiore have been tearing it up for the Titans, amassing 79 points between the three of them.

Gabe Dombrowski led the way for Danbury, amassing four points over the weekend. Dombrowski now leads the team in goals (8) and assists (8) headed into another set of games against the Titans.

"I love the direction we are going as a team," continued McCreary. "We have a young, energetic group that is committed to getting better every week."

The goaltending has been good for the Hat Tricks as of late with both Adam Johnson and Joshua Seeley putting up impressive numbers. Seeley stopped 90 shots over two games against New Jersey his last time out, including a few highlight-reel saves that kept the games close.

Danbury currently sits in seventh place in the NAHL East Division and are eleven points out of a playoff spot. The Hat Tricks made a roster move this past week, acquiring Marian Haborak from the Austin Bruins via trade.

After Danbury battles New Jersey they will hit the road and square off against the Johnstown Tomahawks for a weekend series on Saturday and Sunday.

You can buy tickets for the game on our website or at the front gate of the game! You can follow along with the games on the Hat Tricks' various social media channels or watch it live on HockeyTV.
