Hartford Athletic News Release
Hartford Athletic's Green & Blue Foundation, Liberty Bank and the Liberty Bank Foundation are teaming up to clean up Hartford.
On Sunday, November 13th, as part of World Kindness Day, Hartford Athletic players and staff will be joined by Liberty Bank teammates to remove trash from different neighborhoods in the city. The event will begin at Trinity Health Stadium at 9 AM and will conclude at the stadium at noon after trash has been collected.
"Our strong partnership with Hartford Athletic extends far beyond our sponsorship of the Club and our support of their players, front office and fan base. They are true community partners whose commitment to the region aligns perfectly with our mission to improve lives in our communities for generations to come," said David W. Glidden, President & CEO of Liberty Bank and President of the Liberty Bank Foundation. "Our collaboration and teamwork will be on full display this Sunday as we demonstrate what it means to 'Be Community Kind' and achieve a big win for our Capital City on World Kindness Day."
The Hartford Clean Up is the latest in a line of exciting programs introduced by Hartford Athletic's Green & Blue Foundation over the past two years. Earlier this year, the foundation hosted a Period Poverty Pack, Hiring Expo, STEM and Soccer Education Day among numerous other events designed to impact the capital city and its surrounding community.
"One of the greatest ways we can impact our community is to roll up our sleeves and do the hard work that is right in front of us." said Michele Roux, President of the Green & Blue Foundation. "We are thrilled to have the support of our fantastic partners at Liberty Bank as we work to make our city the best place to live, work and play."
