Harrisburg Heat News Release

HARRISBURG, Pa., Dec. 17, 2013 - The Harrisburg Heat have a busy week ahead, beginning with their Open Cup match Thursday night against ReAL Harrisburg FC.

Kickoff is 7:35 p.m. at Sports City, the Heat's training facility at 4141 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg.

The Heat - 2-3 in their second season in the Professional Arena Soccer League - then resume their league schedule Saturday against Detroit (3-3) in a 7:05 p.m. game at the Equine Arena in the State Farm Show Complex & Expo Center.

The Heat travel Sunday to Cleveland (4-3) for another PASL match, giving them three games in a four-day span. The crammed schedule was necessitated by last weekend's snow storm, which postponed the Open Cup match against ReAL Harrisburg.

Fans already purchasing tickets for last Saturday's Open Cup match may use those tickets on Thursday or exchange them for one of the Heat's remaining home games this season.

The center portion of Sports City's bleacher seating will be reserved for season ticket holders. The rest of the seats will be available on a first-come, first-save basis, but be advised that tickets are limited to 400 or so at Sports City.

Tickets at the door will cost only $10 with no processing fee.

Season ticket holders also will receive a 20-percent discount on merchandise and souvenirs purchased during Thursday's game.

FAMILIAR FACES

ReAL Harrisburg's roster includes forward John Abe, who once captained the original Heat franchise in the early 1990s, and former Harrisburg City Islanders J.T. Dorsey, John Lapore, Colin Zizzi, Steve Custer and Nick Noble.

FREE STUFF

Fans bringing a bag of clothes on Saturday for donation to CommunityAid will receive a buy-one, get-one ticket voucher to a future Heat game of their choice. While fans may donate as many bags as they want for CommunityAid, the cap on vouchers is two per fan. ... Saturday's promotions also include a team picture giveaway, courtesy of David A.

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

The Heat will hold only one training session this week - tonight from 9-11 p.m. at Sports City Harrisburg. As always, training sessions are open to the media with head coach Richard Chinapoo and the players available for interviews before and after the sessions.
